How do we catch Head Lice?
Head Lice are contracted through contact only, the fact of Head Lice jumping is a myth. Although the most common way is through head-to-head contact with an infested person, Head Lice can live off the scalp for up to 48 hours so anything the head has come in to contact with can have venturing lice awaiting a new host.
The head louse is an obligate ectoparasite of humans that causes head lice infestation.
Head lice are wingless insects spending their entire lives on the human scalp and feeding exclusively on human blood.
How to treat Head Lice
You will need to wear appropriate gloves and go through the hair section by section using a specialist removal comb and MORPHOSIS Sublimis Oil Conditioner to sufficiently lubricate the hair and retain moisture in the hair and scalp during the process. Once you are happy the hair and scalp is 100% clear of live lice and nits treat the scalp using MORPHOSIS DeStress to relieve any continued irritation following removal.
We would suggest that all worn clothes and bedding should be removed and washed at a high temperature and any furniture is disinfected to removal any lice that may have ventured off the scalp. Lice can live up to 48 hours off the scalp so re-infestation can still occur following removal.
